373 and 374
Each song I played on shuffle was just right,
and every light was green when I did cross.
My glasses fit perfectly clear and tight
and ne’er did droop my nose nor from me toss.
All doors turned in one keystroke for me then,
the Sun hid behind clouds when I looked up.
I met but kind and helpful kinds of men,
and dinner was not hot nor cold at sup.
I made no typos, nor misspoke by tongue,
and had a comment for each one in kind.
Breath met me with a sweetness to my lung.
Misfortune of no kind could I then find.
‘twas then I asked for more, and ‘killed the vibe’
my albatross had tried to circumscribe.

And we will go again to all the spots
where you saw Life was dancing next to you;
and there we’ll look at all those lovely thoughts
that came because of what you got to view.
That came and went before your eyes could chew
on what you’d witnessed, or conceive its awe;
but awe was all you had to cling onto
before it left--the Heaven that you saw.
Before it left--that Joy without a flaw,
that left you hope and hopelessness in kind,
that left you all and naught on which to draw
the courage to explore, again, your find.
So you and I will go, and you will show
me what God gave for you only to know.
