452 and 453
The fish can fling themselves to Saturn’s rings,
despite the greater gravity out there;
and there, they have the greatest wanderings,
among the asteroids in Saturn’s “air”.
(Not earth fish, mind you, they can’t jump that high,
but fish of Saturn are a different breed.
They soar in that bedazzled Saturn sky
with fins as fine as the rings where they speed.)
Returning to their hydrogen-rich sea
takes but a moment ere they fly some more.
But not to be confused with birds they be—
they are his flying fish, and he’s their shore.
And nowhere are the skies as full of light
as are the ones when Saturn’s fish take flight.

‘Tis done! ‘Tis done! Th’event I had to plan—
the bane that would have slain me had it gone
much longer afterwhence it had began,
or had it been much earlier brought on.
I’ll nevermore propose to lead a thing
like that, no matter how enticed I be.
I’ll never more languish a-laboring
a function that falls squarely beneath me.
That said, ‘twas good to see the souls that came,
and ones who lingered past the item last.
I might be tempted to do it again
if next time I don’t yearn to call avast.
But now, ‘tis done. And no more need I be
in charge of any more than merely me.
