CCXXI: Nemesis
“I’ve made a noble comeback, haven’t I?”
She said with something more than a wry grin.
“They worship me each day, and many cry
that I should punish every single sin.”
“Of course they do not know that it is they
who largely are the culprits of my crime.
How truly so amusing when they say
that those that they accuse are worth my time.”
“Their news and broadcasts every day report
the woes and misdeeds of the ones they hate.
How beautiful, their shock, when I retort,
that by this word they, their own hells create.”
“For I am Nemesis. I banish all
who seek, like gods, for one another’s fall.”
