I can recall a library from youth

with books on every subject at our hands.

Some authors weren’t right, and some uncouth,

but we could read the words of distant lands.

And truth was really not that hard to find,

if thence a wizened teacher you could test.

His tongue, by oath of morals, truth could bind,

and simple reason could unfold the rest.

But now the rows …
