And finally ‘twas hot. For all of May

we’d waited for the Spring to make a move,

Who stealthily evaded us each day

behind the wind and in the clouds above.

And on the weekend when last month did end,

the Sun upon a cloudless field did shine.

Upon the heads of those who wept a friend,

we felt the light afflict us souls that pine.
